This country is Venezuela, a place with more Caribbean coastline than any other country in the area, and with lots of islands (the largest of which is the Island of Margarita, next to Aruba and Curacao).

Based in the southern part of the Caribbean, on the north of South America.

There are no seasons, so it is never cold. It is endless summer. Even the "wet season", which supposedly is from December to April, is not wet, it doesn't rain a lot here at all. Some people say the wet season is from April to December. Honestly, it is hard to tell the difference one way or the other. I live here, and I can say that the weather is simply great, no matter which month you pick to come.

If I had to choose a specific month, I think that I would pick October because of the abundant lobster in season at that time. I would probably avoid the end of December and beginning of January, because that is when the locals all go on holiday, and that means you will have a harder time finding accomodation in the beach areas.

Venezuela is great because it is a real country and not an isolated island economy. As a result, prices are very competitive. Remember, locals live here and can't pay much. They are South Americans with low wages. So food is cheap (in dollar terms) and most of the rest of what you buy is really low priced, too.

Venezuela's economy does not depend on tourism, and most of the tourists are in fact locals who take a break from the work-week to go out to one of the many, many beaches. They know what things costs, so you won't feel that you are getting ripped off or paying inflated tourist prices anywhere. In fact, you will probably feel the opposite lots of times. Thinking to yourself, "wow this is almost too cheap!"
